In one week today, Saturday 26th September, members of Shelford Rugby Club will be taking part in a relay-marathon fundraiser, raising money for both the NHS and a community outdoor exercise area at the club.
The community outdoor exercise area will consist of an artificial grass turf, with cross-fit style apparatus and access to equipment such as battle ropes and wall balls. Providing an open-air exercise area for both club members and Shelford Rugby Club’s community programmes such as This Girl Can or Shape Up.
Featuring six teams of five, each one consisting of a mixture of players, coaches, members and supporters, a 26.2 mile circuit will be completed by each team. Starting at The Davey Field, circumnavigating Cambridge, visiting numerous villages on the outskirts and finishing back at the club.
A number of contestants have already been unveiled, while more and more will be revealed in the coming days. You can support their hard work by donating to our Go Fund Me page. CLICK HERE to donate.
